Junior and Senior Assignments for the week of December 15, 2014

 

Seniors

Brave New World essays due Monday!

Monday- Students will watch Brave New World, the movie.

Tuesday- Students will watch Brave New World, the movie.

Wednesday- Students will finish watching Brave New World, the movie and discuss the similarities and differences within the novel and film.

Thursday- Students will have a pajama read day.  All students will be allowed to wear appropriate comfy clothing, bring a blanket and/ or pillow and read a book for pleasure the entire class period.

Juniors

Scarlet Letter essays due Monday!

Monday- Students will watch the movie version of The Scarlet Letter.

Tuesday- Students will watch the movie version of The Scarlet Letter.

Wednesday- Students will complete the movie version of The Scarlet Letter and discuss the similarities and differences within the novel and film.

Monday- Students will complete their journal and ACT prep the first ten minutes of the class. Then the class will read chapter 18 of Brave New World, and then the teacher will go over the report guidelines.

Tuesday- Students will read the first ten minutes of class.  The class will complete Brave New World novel exam.

Wednesday- Students will watch the movie, Brave New World.

Thursday- Students will watch the movie, Brave New World.

Monday- Students will complete their journal and ACT prep the first ten minutes of class. Students will read chapters 22-24 of The Scarlet Letter, completing the symbol and character analysis in their journal.  Chapter 22-24 character will be Hester and the symbol will be death.

Tuesday- Students will read the first ten minutes of class.  The class will complete The Scarlet Letter novel exam.

Monday- Students will complete their journal and ACT prep the first ten minutes of the class. Then the class will read chapter 12 of Brave New World, continuing their dialectical journal and working in comprehension packet.

Tuesday- Students will take the semester final.

Wednesday- Students will complete their journal the first ten minutes of class.  The class will complete chapter 13 & 14 of Brave New World, continuing their dialectical journal and continuing to work on comprehension packet.

Thursday- Students will read the first ten minutes of class.  The class will complete chapters 15 and 16 of Brave New World, continuing their dialectical journal and finishing the comprehension packet.

Homework- Read Chapters 17-18 and complete dialectical journals.  Due Monday!
