Seniors
Monday- Students will add to their 3000 word short
story. Students will read the essay, I’m
your Teacher, Not Your Internet-Service Provider. Students will then answer supporting
questions which reflect the Compare and Contrast Organizational Structure.
Tuesday- Students will be given 10-15 minutes silent
reading time for pleasure. Students will take a formative assessment
assessing the effectiveness of the structure of an exposition in a text.
Wednesday- No School
Thursday- Students will be given 10-15 minutes silent
reading time for pleasure. Students will read a biography on Tupac Shakur and
then watch a YouTube Documentary on Tupac @ https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=O6FOqKJPyW4&list=RDO6FOqKJPyW4#t=72.
Students must take notes of the events surrounding his life influenced his
actions and life as a celebrity.
Juniors
Monday- Students will add to
their 3000 word short story. Students will watch Harrison Bergeron.
Tuesday- Students will be given
10-15 minutes silent reading time for pleasure. Students will write an essay
discussing the irony in Harrison Bergeron.
Wednesday-
No
School
Thursday- Students will be given
10-15 minutes silent reading time for pleasure.
Students will take a formative
assessment distinguishing what is directly stated in a text from what is really
meant (e.g. satire, sarcasm, irony, or understatement).
