*Due to my illness and
absence last week, many assignments scheduled last week will be completed this
week.
Monday-
All Classes will attend Part 4
of the Arizona Youth Partnerships Program.
Tuesday- All students will complete the journal for the first ten minutes of class.
Seniors will create their own satires using the elements of
fiction. Students may use any media they choose (movie, cartoon/comic, short
story, skit, etc.), but the final product must include the elements that the
class discussed as part of Attachment A, Elements of Satire. Students begin by choosing particular topics, characters
and satiric elements to use in their piece.
Juniors will begin to work on the
Bill of Right Group Activity. Each group
will be assigned one of the first ten amendments and complete the following
tasks: Write a summary of the amendment in modern language defining necessary
terms. Explain an example in U.S. History or an example in the life of the
presenters that involves one of the first ten amendments. Create a visual aide
for teaching the amendment. It can be a picture or a diagram. Create a skit
depicting the amendment being violated. Create a handout for the class (20
copies). Crossword puzzles, word searches, and graphic organizers work best.
Present the above items to the class on Thursday.
Wednesday- All students will complete the journal for the first ten minutes of class.
Seniors will finish writing
their satire in class.
Juniors will continue to work on
