Week of April 30-May 4


 Juniors- April 30-May 4

Weekly: Standards and Personal Objectives: 11R4- Students will apply knowledge of organizational structures.  11W18- Students will write a multi-paragraph essay, 11W21-26- Students will apply 6-traits of writing, 11R.1.5.1 Students will read a variety of genres. G11.3R.C1.P03 I can interpret the concepts and ideas non-fiction text. G11.3R.C3.PO2 I can examine the techniques used to create powerful arguments with in a persuasive text.

Monday-   Students will write 200 words on the journal topic. Essential Facts Quiz. Students will write a compare and contrast essay discussing the similarities and differences in the novel and theatrical performance of The Great Gatsby.

Tuesday- Students will write 200 words on the journal topic. Class will review for the final exam. Essential Facts Quiz. Work on Poetry Book.


Wednesday- Essential Facts Quiz.  Continue work on poetry book.


Thursday- Students will make flash cards for their essential facts.

ALL Seniors – April 30-May 4

Weekly: Standards and Personal Objectives: 12R3- Students will apply knowledge of organizational structures. 12W17- Students will write a multi-paragraph essay, 12W22-27- Students will apply 6-traits of writing, 12R.1.5.1 Students will read a variety of genres. G12.2R.C1.PO3 I can support conclusions about tone drawn from a writer's word choice and imagery in a written text.

Monday- Essential Facts Quiz. Finish watching Dorian Gray.

Tuesday- Essential Facts Quiz.  Compare and Contrast Essay on the novel and movie of The Picture of Dorian Gray.

Wednesday- Essential Facts Quiz. Teacher will review for the final exam.

Thursday- Students will make flash cards for their essential facts.

Monday- Students will write 200 words on the journal topic. Read chapters 26 and 27 in East of Eden and answer corresponding comprehension questions.

Tuesday- Students will write 200 words on the journal topic. Class will review for the final exam. Read chapters 28 and 29 in East of Eden and answer corresponding comprehension questions. 


Wednesday- Essential Facts Quiz. Read chapters 30 and 31 in East of Eden and answer corresponding comprehension questions. 

Thursday- Students will make flash cards for their essential facts.  Read East of Eden chapters 32-35 over the weekend.
