Week of April 9, 2012

 Juniors- April 9-12

Weekly: Standards and Personal Objectives: 11R4- Students will apply knowledge of organizational structures.  11W18- Students will write a multi-paragraph essay, 11W21-26- Students will apply 6-traits of writing, 11R.1.5.1 Students will read a variety of genres. G11.3R.C1.P03 I can interpret the concepts and ideas non-fiction text. G11.3R.C3.PO2 I can examine the techniques used to create powerful arguments with in a persuasive text.


Monday- No School 

Tuesday- AIMS Testing. Students will write 200 words on the journal topic. Students will continue The Great Gatsby. Each day, students will be responsible for summarizing each chapter using a direct quote and proper citation in addition to answering coinciding comprehension questions designated for each chapter. 


Wednesday- Stanford 9Testing. Essential Facts Quiz. Students will continue The Great Gatsby. Each day, students will be responsible for summarizing each chapter using a direct quote and proper citation in addition to answering coinciding comprehension questions designated for each chapter. 


Thursday- Weekly Quiz. Students will write 200 words on the journal topic. Students will continue The Great Gatsby. Each day, students will be responsible for summarizing each chapter using a direct quote and proper citation in addition to answering coinciding comprehension questions designated for each chapter.

ALL Seniors – April 9-12

Weekly: Standards and Personal Objectives: 12R3- Students will apply knowledge of organizational structures. 12W17- Students will write a multi-paragraph essay, 12W22-27- Students will apply 6-traits of writing, 12R.1.5.1 Students will read a variety of genres. G12.2R.C1.PO3 I can support conclusions about tone drawn from a writer's word choice and imagery in a written text. - (April 9 - April 13)

Monday- No School

Tuesday- AIMS TESTING. Students will analyze a piece of poetry and support conclusions regarding the tone highlighting specific word choice and imagery, lit book pg. 799. Students will read, “The Picture of Dorian Gray” along with the audio recording and answer coinciding chapter questions as well as a summary with one direct quotation from the selection, properly cited
